Strength I for Press

Hi,

If one wanted to run Strength I as a press-focused template, can you go over the what substitutions specifically you’d make for all the upper-body exercises? Strength I has about 7 different bench variations plus strict press, so I’d love to know which press variations you’d substitute where.

While I don’t think that it’s a great idea to run it as a press-focused template, you can replace the bench variations with press variations you prefer. I don’t really have a preference for which ones you should choose, but my short list of press variations is as follows:

  • Press w belt
  • Press from pins, shoulder level
  • press form pins, above head
  • 2ct pause press at forehead level
  • press + chains
  • press w swiss bar
  • high incline bench
  • high incline close grip bench
  • seated bench
  • DB press
