Im 16 years old right now, i started a dirty bulk back when i was 15, and im sitting at around 19% body fat. I want to know if i can safely get down to a more “normal” body fat % like 14-16% without stunting my growth, if i am on a 250-500 calorie defecit, while hitting my macro/micronutrient targets.
Vinesh, I deleted your previous attempt to start a thread because you’re under the age of 18 and this 100% requires more information to answer accurately and specifically for you. If you’re concerned, I would recommend setting up an appointment to see your primary care physician and get a referral to a registered dietician to discuss this.
For reference, 14-16% body fat is only “normal” for some -but not all- folks. Additionally, a small, modest deficit (like 250-500 Cal) will not do anything to alter growth.
Finally, 10/10 would not recommend rapidly gaining weight for anyone.
