Hey all. Bit of background. I’m a 23 year old male, around 185 lbs at 5’10. Last year, i stupidly embarked on a extreme caloric restricted diet and ended up losing 55 lbs in a 5 months. I experienced a complete loss of libido and and felt awful. Blood worked revealed a testosterone level of 56/75/100 ng dl (tested 3 times in the month of March 2018). At the time i was dealing with mental health issues and got prescribed a SSRI (Lexapro). I also got put on Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) 20 mg a day to help me restore my t levels while i regained some weight. After 3 months of this my t levels were back to 950 ng dl. I have since then not been tested and have been of the Nolvadex since November. The SSRI I’m still taking (20 mg). My sex drive and general well being has never been the same as pre crash diet levels and its kind of annoying me. I know that SSRIs and testosterone have a relationship, but to what extent is this the case? In the next few months i will be tapering of the medication and don’t really know what to expect libido and energy was. My sleep has been awful and i often struggle to finish my workouts without yawning all the time or feeling like trash. Is it normal to still feel these low t side effects now that my levels are restored?
