To test a few months before a meet or not?

Hi,

I am currently on the 9th week of the legacy strength 1 template things are going well through the template (I completed my previous bench single pr @ rpe 10 @8 last week). My first question is that since I am planning to compete in my first powerlifting meet on March 7th should I perform week 13 as normal and test the big 3 as written or should I finish through week 12 and move on to something else. I was also curious what your thoughts were on me starting powerlifting two before my meet as I recently just bought it? I also thought that possibly repeating the later portion of strength 1 and one of the peaking templates may be a good alternative as well.

Thanks for the post and I hope you’re getting excited for your meet. I think given the time between testing and your meet, you’d be fine to test. I think if you’re getting good results on strength I, you can repeat it prior to the meet rather than do a different template.
