If I’m only looking to lose around 2 inches off my wc, is aiming for around 0.5lbs per week a reasonable approach if appetite is becoming an issue I’m struggling with mentally.
Are there any downsides to dieting this slowly other than the fact it will take longer?
I’m guessing that the alternative would be to lose weight faster, which seems like an option only in theory given your report on appetite. Also some additional risk of greater muscle losses with faster rates of weight loss, which may or may not be worth it based on your current body composition.
Tl;dr- I don’t usually think faster weight loss is a great option unless someone has a waist circumference > the cut offs and/or a BMI > 30. I think having issues with hunger are likely to be worse though on a greater deficit.
