Training after gallbladder removal

All,

I had my gallbladder removed on February 17. I’ve got four incisions across my belly now, each about ¾” long. They seem to be healing fine, but do you think my ab muscles will be more susceptible to muscle tears now that they have cuts in them? I’ve been training for a long time and have pretty muscular abs.

The surgeon’s recommendation was no lifting anything over 5 lb. for 4 weeks. I haven’t trained at all (outside of riding the Echo Bike), as I didn’t want to rip open the incisions. Now that they are about healed, is there anything specific you recommend to fix the cuts through the muscle?

Thanks.

I don’t think you will be able to do anything to “fix” the incisions, as they will heal on their own regardless of what you do. You should start training though if it’s okay with your doctor

I had my go from my doctor to restart training after gallbladder removal.
how do I proceed, was on the HLM template when it happened
