What would be the value in adding some carbs (as opposed to just a whey shake) preworkout in the AM assuming daily/weekly carb intake is maintained relatively moderate-high?
There’s some data suggesting yes, and the data gets stronger the longer and higher volume the workout becomes. That said, the predominating factor for deciding if you should add carbs to the pre-workout and, potentially, intraworkout meals is personal preference.
