bryce Lewis recently posted about how he’s started taking whey/ carbs during his training sessions. Do you feel that there’s any science behind this or is it a placebo effect ? And if it IS effective , could one only use carbs ( some gatoraid mix etc ) without whey , as the thought of trying to consume whey during a session makes me wanna puke
I don’t think that the science is supportive of intraworkout carbs (or protein) in resistance training.That said, when humidity and ambient temperatures are high I will sometimes recommend doing 8oz gatorade mixed with 8oz water, 1g salt, and 5-10g BCAAs.
