Very strong ammonia smell when sweating

This is something I’ve noticed over the past few years on my clothing - usually after a sweaty training session.

From my understanding its due to the body using amino acids as energy and the nitrogen waste being excreted out via pee/sweat. Based on what advice I’ve read, it seems like the solution is to eat more carbs, particularly before a training session. However, I already eat between 350-450g of carbs per day usually along with about 160g of protein a day (I’m around 73kg/160 pounds), so it’s definitely not that. I do think I have a high metabolism, I’m 5’9/160lbs and I eat 3000kcal or more just to maintain by weight. I train 4x per week weights and 2x per week jiu jitsu.

For the most part I’ve always just ignored it, although it does get quite bad occassionally and I give myself a suprise by sniffing my workout shirts and then wonder if its normal lol.

I do have slightly elevated creatinine levels and I have wondered if that’s at all related to what I’m experiencing.

Is there any reason to be concerned or further action needed?

Thank you very much for your time.

I wouldn’t be concerned about this.
