Vitamin D too low(8.39 ng/ml)..

Hello guys, my(23/M,India) vitamin D levels seem too low(8.39 ng/ml) and vitamin b12 seems boderline (239 pg/ml). I tested for this as part of a hair loss screening.

I know Austin has said,“One other complicating factor here is the issue of vitamin D as a negative acute phase reactant, whereby levels decrease in the setting of acute illness and chronic disease, and can rise / normalize with the resolution of the underlying disease process”.
So, I would like to know if I should test for some other conditions/ some other tests ? I don’t have any existing conditions although I have to say I have been depressed for the past five years now and I am trying to overcome it.
Also what would your recommended supplementation be for me for Vitamin D and B12 if necessary?

I would really appreciate your help as I have little faith in some of the doctors here. (One MD gave me Ivermectin and Azythromycin when I had covid last year.)Thank you

While there may be other things worth investigating, there really isn’t enough information here for me to speculate or make recommendations on additional testing related to this vitamin D level. However a level of 8 ng/mL is at a point where I would actually initiate replacement, in addition to thinking about other possible issues (e.g., nutritional/absorptive issues, chronic infections or other chronic diseases).

A borderline vitamin B12 level should be followed up with a methylmalonic acid measurement to determine whether true deficiency is present.
