Walking to make up for cardio

Can walking (+ strength training) make up for the benefits of doing steady state cardio? If so, how much?

I personally walk 10km a day (mostly with my dog). So I wonder how much I’m missing out on skipping the cardio?

It depends what intensity and pace you’re walking at. If you are walking at a pace yielding about 4-6 METs per minute, you’re probably fine given the volume you’re doing.
