I just bought the BP III Programm to take advantage of the Black Friday Sale
I will finish PB II this Week
Ending with the following Numbers:
Deadlift 1 RM 200kg pretty much the same as in Week 1 (came from 130kg in Oktober last year though)
Squat 1 eRM 160kg was in Week 1 155kg
Competition Style Bench 1 eRM 108kg was in Week one 104kg
Press 1 eRM 85kg was in Week 1 72kg
Sometimes I have the feeling that I am to catious with my progressiv overload or are my improvements in a expectable range?
My question would be should I start the PB III as of Monday or would you recommend to rerun the PB II and then go to PB III?
And if I am to rerun would it be best to change the supplement exercises that I did for the last 10 Weeks or is it ok to do them 10more weeks?
Your advice is much appreciated
Joshua
Joshua,
Thanks for the post. I don’t have strong feelings about which program you run based on your reported results. You can do either based on personal preferences. If you do re run PB II, I’d change the supplemental exercises, yes.
What’s been your progression in working weights? I’d be planning on adding 2-5% every 2-3 weeks to your working weights.

I didn’t really plan my progression as you recommended… so I decided to run PB II again and move on to III afterwards I am in no hurry after all.
Thank you Dr.

Sounds good. If things are going well, I’d expect to see something close to the progression intermixed with periods of things mostly staying the same - oscillating between slightly better and worse performances that average out to your current baseline. Let me know how it goes!
One question I have left…
I decided to keep my GPP on the lvl I had on Week 10 so I want to go on with 10 Sets of Biceps and Triceps per Week and 8 Sets of Upper Back and 10 Minutes of AMRAP Abs, would that be ok?
For the Cardio part I decided that my 2 hours per Day of riding my Bike to work would be sufficient.
While I would prefer the GPP be structured as listed in the program, I think this is fine as well.
