2 days/week

At the FoCo, CO conference last weekend, you covered the ACSM recommendations that include two days of resistance training … but I don’t see any of your templates that have less than 3 … supposing someone were to do the 150/300 minute/week additional work, could your templates be used in a two day/week way … or would such long inter-training day lengths decrease efficiency so much that it “wouldn’t be worth it”?

Thanks for the post. The 2018 Physical Guidelines for Americans put the minimum recommendations for resistance training at 2x/wk. We’d like to exceed that in an intelligent manner, as there is a dose-dependent response between training volume and both health and performance outcomes.

As far as if it’d be okay for someone to only train 2x/wk, sure! We’d prefer them to do more, but that’s fine too.
