Physical Activity Guidelines

Hi Jordan,

In a recent podcast you were discussing the physical activity guidelines and you mentioned that you would have liked to seen sample programs to meet those guidelines included. What would a program to meet the minimum requirements look like?

I have the beginner prescription, at home, and time crunch templates. Could I just be doing two days a week of any of these workouts in addition to conditioning? Or does additional time/exercises need to be added since I would only be training two days a week?

A program would include, at a minimum:

2-days per week of autoregulated RT where all the major muscle groups were worked at an intensity that’s somewhat uncomfortable multiple times.
500-1000 MET-minutes per week of conditioning.

If someone is exceeding these guidelines, that’s great!
