A stellar day.

Hey Doc’s,

Today I had one of those absolute stellar days I’ve heard about through BBM podcasts, YT etc etc. Warming up for Squats and everything was on point, feeling fantastic which I was pleased about as last week they felt woeful. Currently on week 2 of The Bridge 3.0 and got done with day 1 this morning. For the 4 @ 8 after the 1 @ 8 are we searching for RPE? What I mean is, if the first set feels lower than @ 8 do we do another to get the @ 8? For example, today I hit my 1 @ 8 on 1ct Pause Bench, but maybe undershot a little, then I back off to 84% of e1rm but that felt more like a 7 @ 8 so I added 5% and done another set. Is this correct or do we just note it for next time? First time running/using RPE fully in programming so I am just finding my feet. The bonus is, after running percentage based programmes exclusively and just grinding to an abrut end with injury or failure, this approach seems so much smarter. All e1rms were way up this week vs last

Technically, yes, we would prefer you default to RPE over using any other metric to determine the load. That said, if it’s undershot a little bit I’d just continue on with the rest of the training prescription rather than search for the perfect load for that day’s set @ 8.

Happy to hear the program is working well for you!

Great - thanks !!!
