Abdominal bloating

Hello,

I often experience bloating 1-2 hours after dinner and drinking milk (even though its lactose free). It also sometimes happens during the day (even when I haven’t drank any milk), so I’m not sure which foods cause it.

  1. Are there any downsides to this, other than being uncomfortable and looking like I’m six months pregnant?
  2. Is there any way to prevent this,? or is my only option finding what foods cause bloating and cut them out?

If this only happens when drinking milk, you may have some element of allergy to dairy or there is something else you might be eating regularly at dinner that is contributing to this. Since you’re reporting that it sometimes also happens during the day without milk, it might be do to another eating habit you regularly engage in- but I would recommend eliminating one thing at a time, like say Milk first.

You should eat more of your other foods to make up for the calories you’re no longer consuming through milk.

Additionally, if you’ve had any abnormal symptoms when you poo- like floating stools, blood in the stool, constant diarrhea, pain when you go, nausea or vomiting, etc. I would 100% recommend seeing your doctor.
