No appetite, Stomach bloating, losing weight..

Hello Dr. Baraki and Dr. Feigenbaum,

What would you say to someone who wants to train, but can’t eat but once a day because of the following:

Person is 21 years old, male.

  1. Extremely bloated stomach/ feeling of fullness.
  2. No appetite, can barley eat once a day. Can’t drink much liquid either.
  3. Stomach cramps and pains all day.

Tested negative for H. Pylori, Xray test negative for hernia, doctor’s prescribed Pantoprazole for acid reflux (but it’s not doing anything)

This has been going on for two weeks.

Would you tell them to continue to train despite eating once a day?

Possibly a bacterial infection?

Thanks

If this person was previously completely healthy, and is now having severe stomach cramps and pains all day, I would suggest further in-person evaluation. Sorry man, this isn’t something we can adequately address through this forum.
