Can you think of any serious cons to adding hip thrusts to the Powerbuilding I program?
I am subbing them in for one of the pressing exercises on day 3, because my shoulder is being a little bi**h (i.e. painful) and my pressing loads are very low atm. Hip thrusts seems like a reasonable way to add a full body movement without aggravating the shoulder. Furthermore, I really enjoy doing them and who does not want to have a generally prepared ass
I also love the updated version of the template, so thank you for all the work going into that (and the other resources at BM). I do however really miss the ability to play around with the programming skeleton, so if you ever consider unprotecting that sheet again it would be much appreciated.
I donโt think that doing hip thrusts is likely to help your shoulder and Iโd rather you address the pain by training that area via a tolerable exercise selection, load, tempo, etc.
That said, if you want to do hip thrusts, thatโs cool with me. Butts are cool
Thank you for taking the time to reply, and for all the amazing content you provide at Barbell Medicine. To be clear I have been addressing the shoulder issue as per the Barbell Medicine prescription, but now I can keep adding the hip thrusts as well - safe in the knowledge that they are Feigenbaum-approved
