Hip thrusters

Meant to include this in my last post.

Would hip thrusters be a good candidate to train 7 min AMRAP the way GPP rows are prescribed? I plan to do lighter loads and que myself to toss the bar off my hips but use just enough weight that I can’t. Hoping for transfer to sprinting/running. Adding to 7 week endurance 1 or 2 lifting days a week.

Thanks for the post. I probably wouldn’t train them that way, no. Rather, I’d do them as their own exercise for moderate reps at low velocity, high loads at first, then later on train them at higher velocities.

Thanks, they do still feel awkward, the slower practice would be beneficial I think. When you say later on would that be something like 4 weeks heavier than increase velocity the last half of a training block? Or save the faster practice for the next block?

I would probably do it in the next block.
