I train first thing in the morning - at 5 am. About 30 min after I work out, I eat breakfast that consists of 1/3 cup of oatmeal (dry) cooked with boiling water, with about 1/4 cup of 1% milk, and a scoop of whey protein.
Does the fiber in the oatmeal significantly affect the absorption of the protein, and does it affect muscle protein synthesis in any way?
