Happy new year barbell medicine! Nice job doing quick start guide!
I’m planning to compete in a year or so, and I started buying required equipment. I want to buy shoes, and I saw that jordan likes power perfect 2.
What are your thoughts on adidas powerlift 2.0 http://weightliftingshoeguide.com/shoes/adidas-powerlift-2/
They are the cheapest adidas to buy. Is really big difference between powerlift 2.0 and power perfect
Are they going to be enough to do the job?

I never had lifting shoes in my 4 year in gym, lifted in all star converse shoes

There is a difference, yes, and we’d all prefer the PP 2, especially for a competitor, but if the Powerlift 20 is in your budget, I’d get them and start lifting with proper shoes! The PP 2 is one of the top shoes we’d suggest.

Yah, I bought a pair on Jordan’s advice back when he still lived in my neighborhood, and I love em. It’s commonly said that if you have wide feet, they might not be for you though.
