Alternating main lifts

I’ve noticed that in all of your programs that I’ve ran (bridge 1.0, 2.0, HLM and hypertrophy) that the supplemental lifts are changed after 4 weeks or so. The competition lifts however remain in the program all the way through. Given that I have no plans on competing at all, what would be the advantages/disadvantages of changing the competition lift mid way through the program? for example using seated overhead press for the first 4 weeks in the competition press slot then standing press for the second 4, or high bar squat as the competition squat for the first 4 weeks then transitioning to low bar squat. I imagine that it could have negative effects on E1rms in the lifts, but not sure if it would make a difference regarding hypertrophy and other training effects

You’d get less good at the competition lift, alter the stress profile of the workouts, and not necessarily see any advantages in the context of our programs. You would be unlikely to get better hypertrophy outcomes switching the variations is what I mean.
