Good Morning Jordan
I was curious if you could shed insight, if any, on the affects early morning caffeine consumption can have on afternoon performance or if there is any relation at all. It never fails that around the 3pm hour, energy levels and awareness are torpedoing into the ground. Having an extreme work commute makes this very difficult to stay awake behind the wheel. I did some reading the other day on the subject “Adrenal Fatigue” and though it may not be a true thing, some symptoms listed seemed to be some things I was experiencing. I consume about 16oz. of regular or dark roast coffee every morning and have been steady in doing so for the past couple years. So a few questions I have are:
1: Does the amount of early morning caffeine consumption have any affect on how the body performs late afternoon? Negatively or Positively
2: If cutting out caffeine in the morning, could this benefit energy levels and awareness later in the day since there is no early morning stimulation?
3: Am I looking at this backwards and perhaps need to assess whether or not an early afternoon caffeine dosage might be beneficial?
Thank you for your time
Steve
