Hi team, out of interest, has any studies been done on the use of carefully monitored and managed steroid use to speed up recover of strength and functionality in more severe injuries like back , spinal injury recovery? I know its a tricky issue but i have read certain types of steroids do really strengthen ligaments and tendons quickly, I m not one to use any of this stuff but i wondered if it does seem to work , is future science and development looking at ways or alternatives to these growth and repair hormones.
I’m not aware of studies on this.
I’m also not aware of a plausible mechanism by which they would help either, because back pain is generally not caused by “weak” muscles, ligaments, or tendons that need to be strengthened.
Thanks Austin, think im gettin a little confused, so strength training inst addressing back pain specifically…or if it is, we are not sure really why it is happening. I know rip talks a lot about needing to be stronger to address back pain, just seeking to understand. Thanks for your reply appreciate it.
OK thanks Austin, awesome stuff coming through BBM, hope to see you guys in Australia again soon, id love to get to a seminar if you are over this way again.
