Another peaking template question...

Hey there. I have my first power lifting meet on 4/27 which would take place on week 12 of the 12 week Strength Template (which I am currently following), which would bypass the 13th “meet wee” portion of the template. My thought process was to cut the last 4 weeks short and insert one of the 3 week peaking templates. Is that a solid plan? If so, what is your guidance as to which template to follow, the fast or slow peak? I read the “personality-type” descriptor for each and this one describes me perfectly in the fast peaking template: “These lifters tend to be quiet, reserved, and don’t use much hype during training.” Not sure if this helps but context - I’m 40, never competed, have been lifting for 12 years but “powerlifting” seriously for 3-4 years.

I think based on your reply here I would sub out weeks 10-12 on the 12 Week Strength template for 3 weeks of the fast peaking template.
