Anterior Shoulder Pain

Today, my training session consisted of Squats 3x6 and Deadlifts 2x6, after my last warm up set for deadlifts, I noticed some pain in the front of my left shoulder joint. It wasn’t too concerning at the time, however after my two working sets I noticed the pain had increased.
Shoulder has been feeling funky all day and I’ve been cautious so as not to move it into positions that cause the sharp pain to increase. Reaching towards my left armpit with my left hand caused me to yelp a little, so too did taking my backpack on and off carelessly.
I am wondering how big of a problem this is, and what could have caused it, and how to prevent something like this from happening again/getting worse.
I have watched Austin’s pain lecture clip on YouTube, and a couple of Austin and Jordan’s podcasts on pain. But I bring my concerns to the forum to analyze the specific issue at hand.
I have no prior history of prior shoulder pain/injury in my left shoulder.

Hey @Luke_Shamburger , sorry to hear about the recent shoulder pain. How have things been feeling since the OP?

I’m fine now. Despite posting the day of the incident, I knew immediately not to panic. Step 1 of reassurance let to my next day assessment of it feeling better (but not completely) and I was able to bench, do barbell rows, press and pull ups with no pain, except for one set of bench which was a little too heavy, which aggravated it a little but was fine quickly after, especially once I took about 10 lbs off and continued.

Monday - pain started
Tuesday - much less pain, still trained as normal
Wednesday - no pain at all
Thursday - business as usual, great session of tempo squats and block pulls without reoccurrence of pain

Thank you

Awesome. Sounds like you managed well.
