Arch and rack safety pins height

Howdy,

When I am benching pressing, the pins stay about half inch from my chest(the bar dont touch on my chest, and I already put pads on the bench to short the distance), shortening a little bit of ROM. So to fix that I arched I little bit more, my butt still toching the bench, so my upper back. I started to arch recently, and I already felt disconfort on muscle from the upper back(arching more, equals more disconfort after workout), I know I will be fine. I just want to know If the disconfort is a sign of a crappy arch.

No, discomfort is not a sign of a crappy arch. It’s probably just a position that you’re unadapted to.
