I just finished Strength I yesterday and saw some solid improvement. I’m looking to start Strength III, and going over the Excel sheet, I’m a bit confused by the Exercise Selection; specifically for the press movements. I’m just confused as to where movements are strictly not supposed to overlap, and where some overlap is fine.
For the squat, for example, I believe I understand correctly: The instructions state to “Pick a different squat for both 2* squat variations based on your preferences etc.” which means I can pick three different movements for the three different 2* Squats, and that it’s okay for some squats to overlap between 2* and 3*. (For example, can I use LBBS with no belt as 2* Squat Development AND 3* Squat Sports form.)
But the presses are a bit more confusing. With the 2* Press #3 Development, the instructions state to “Pick a variation different from your 1* bench, 1* Press, and 3* selections based on preferences etc.” Does that mean my 2* Press #1 Development, 2* Press #2 Development, and 2* Press #3 Development can all be the same, or do those all need to be different as well? Further to that question, does my 2* Press #3 Development need to differ from by 2* Press #3 Specialization or 2* Press #3 Sports Form, or can those overlap?
