I was wondering how back stiffness fits into the biopsychosocial pain model, if at all.
I’m a 40-year-old desk jockey, and my lower back pain (which had been disrupting my sleep at one point) has mostly resolved since I started the NLP last year. Yay! (To be clear, I’ve since moved on to intermediate programming).
However, I still get back stiffness from time to time, when I sit for extended periods or sleep on my side. It feels like my spine is locked into a curve, with my hips always shifted up and to the right. Walking around usually gets things right. But I’m stooped and crooked like an old man until then.
Its more annoying than anything else. I was wondering, though, what is “stiffness”, and what, if anything, can I do about it?
Thanks!
