BBM on skin care?

I was curious if the BBM team does anything for skin care? The entire industry seems to be filled with scams and I trust BBM to help me navigate through medical claims daily.

I’m creating this topic because I just saw a r dermatologist and he recommended vitamin D supplementation and caster oil as a remedy to all of my issues. I believe I’m going to seek a second opinion, unless you know something I don’t about his recommendations.

Also, in one of the 2023 podcasts Dr. Baraki very briefly made a comment on sun screen that made me question if the popular obsession with protecting your skin might be overblown.

Thank you for your time and incredible content. Whenever I’m confused on a medical topic or claim BBM is always where I go for a definitive answer.

I do not do anything specific for skin care, aside from using sunscreen as I live in an area at some altitude with a lot of direct sun.

I don’t know what all of your issues are, but this sounds like nonsense.

I am not sure what specific comment you’re referring to, but sunscreen use is advisable for those with significant sun exposure and/or other risk factors for the development of skin cancer.

Thank you for the reply Dr. Baraki. His remedies definitely piqued my skepticism, and I’m going to get a second opinion for sure. Also thank you for clarifying your stance on sun screen. I’m unsure what it was that caused my incorrect assumption in the first place.
