Beet Juice prior to strength training

My understanding is that research has shown that beet root juice is not just potentially beneficial for endurance athletes, but may also be beneficial for strength athletes. To quote once source, “Beetroot juice increases levels of nitric oxide (NO), which serves multiple functions related to increased blood flow, gas exchange, mitochondrial biogenesis and efficiency, and strengthening of muscle contraction”. My question is do you think there is a benefit to a barbell trainee in drinking a glass of beet juice, say an hour before training?

No, I don’t. Betaine anhydrous at 1000mg pre and post training however, may work in the same way.
