Correlation Between Hearth Rate Variability Monitoring and Strength Training

Firstly thank you and BBM crew to putting highly informative content about training and nutrition on the internet.

Novadays I am researching about HRV and strength training correlation. Does HRV monitoring has any remarkable benefits for strength training ect. but I couldn’t find anything other than Andrew Flatt`s article.(https://www.hrv4training.com/blog/hr…power-athletes)

I tought maybe BBM has something more benefical and widely handled on this topic but I couldn’t find such a post in your website’s blog. I wonder what you guys think about this topic.

We don’t think it has significant benefits over subjective metrics alone (like RPE), while it does have a potential for nocebo effects. We therefore don’t routinely use it or recommend it.

Thank you for the respond Austin. Sounds like you mean that is not belong in strength ecosystem. So RPE (and if can be done additionally barbell velocity) monitoring is enough for understanding and reacting to acute fatigue?
