My bench is 19” off the floor almost 10” wide pad. Would my bench improve with a wider pad?
A competition bench pad would be around 12", which might be relevant if you compete and want to train on something similar to what you’d find at a meet. Since your bench is on the tall side you might benefit from something under your feet, if you have shorter legs.

My flat bench is 17H/12W. The best change I made to my bench was to buy gripper vinyl and staple that over the slippery stuff.
