Bridge 1.0 Training Duration

Hello,

I am about a week in to the Bridge 1.0. As I was reviewing the programming for the weeks to come, I noticed that it increases in volume quite a bit. My question is how long (approximately) should each one take? I typically have about an hour and a half daily to devote to training. Is this doable in the latter stages?

Thanks for all your hard work!

Keep the rest periods in the 3-5 min range, and adjust the weights as needed to hit your RPE targets, and you should be fine.

I found that 3 minute rest times and some warming up for the next exercises (the lighter warm up sets) between sets can keep it under or at 90 minutes. It may take you a week or two to get used to the shorter rest times if you are used to the NLP long rest periods.

I am finding in week three of The Bridge that if I focus and move quickly between warmups and rest between 4 to 5 minutes between work sets I can get the thing done in under 1.5 hours.

I sometimes get waylaid and chat with someone or someone wants coaching guidance, which will add minutes. In week four (high stress) I plan to focus on training only and get it done in hopefuly just over 1.5 hours. Headphones help.

Week 4 did take me longer, especially Monday and Friday, than 90 minutes. So see if you can schedule a bit more time on those days. Monday was 100 minutes, Friday was 120.

The real time waster is not rest time or exercise duration or sets but:-

-swapping weights all the time
-waiting for a free rack or bench at the gym
-moving equipment around when you have to change exercise
