Bulk & cut cycles waist measure

Hi Doctors

First I want to thank to you for the GREAT content and programs, I gaining and learning a lot from them!

i’m 40 y/o male, 65 kg 171 cm height.
i’m bulking for few months and seeing good progress.
My waist size is about 34" and I’m debating whether to start cutting now.
i saw in few posts that you say it’s better to keep it under 35" and for people that over you suggest to cut until 33-34".

I guess that you suggest to cut to 33-34" for people that doesn’t plan to bulk because 1-2" doesn’t leave much room for bulk.

Do you think I should start the cut now or wait that I’ll be over 35 and if now what should be my goal width before the next bulk?

Yea, that’s pretty much it.

I don’t think you’re likely to notice any difference whether or not you cut now or at 35" in the long-term so it’s really about personal preference. As far as goals, I think keeping the waist between 32-35" is reasonable for many unless someone wants to get really lean.

Thank you very much Jordan!

Is that for everyone no matter height ie whether you are 5’2" or 6’5"?

Pretty close. I’d give a bit more leeway to taller (but not shorter) folks, though I still wouldn’t advise them to walk around with a waist circumference > 37 to 38".
