Cardio Duration

When trying to meet the current weekly recommendations for cardio respiratory fitness does the duration of any one session matter? Or is the end goal just to meet the required minutes by any means necessary?

For example, are the benefits equal between three 15 minute sessions on a bike and one 45 minute session on a bike given that the intensity is the same?

For health? Probably. For fitness adaptations, they’re more specific to the duration…but I’m not sure where the inflection point is where it starts to matter.
