Changing PL 1 to 4 days

Hey Drs,

Recently i made a post about splitting up PL 1 into 4 days and i was given the following:

Day 1

  1. Squat (slot 1, day 1)
  2. Bench (day 1, slot 2) Day 2
  3. Bench (slot 1, day 2
  4. Deadlift (slot 3, day 1) Day 3

Rest

Day 4

  1. Deadlift (slot 1, day 3)
  2. Bench (slot 3, day 2)
  3. Squat (slot 3, day 3) Day 5
  4. Bench (slot 2, day 3)
  5. Squat (slot 2, day 2) ​​

Is there any way i can make the day with 3 lifts the last training day so i can have it on a weekend as i have much more time then?

Also if i did have the training days M, W, F and S, where would be the best place for the GPP day?

There are almost unlimited possibilities here for scheduling. I think adapting the program to what you prefer is important. As far as what I’d prefer, you could do the following:

Day 1:

  1. Squat (slot 1, day 1)
  2. Bench (day 1, slot 2) Day 2
  3. Bench (slot 1, day 2
  4. Deadlift (slot 3, day 1) Day 3

Rest

Day 4

  1. Deadlift (slot 1, day 3)
  2. Squat (slot 3, day 3) Day 5 (could also squat first here if you prefer that order)
  3. Bench (slot 2, day 3)
  4. Squat (slot 2, day 2)
  5. Bench (slot 3, day 2) ​​

The GPP days can be placed anywhere during the week. I don’t think there’s a best place. They’re all about the same.
