Is there a reason for the weekly layout of the 3-day templates?

If I understand correctly, you recommend:

Monday: Day 1
Tuesday:
Wednesday: Day 3
Thursday: GPP1
Friday: Day 5
Saturday: GPP 2
Sunday:

why not:

Monday: Day 1
Tuesday: GPP 1
Wednesday: Day 3
Thursday:
Friday: Day 5
Saturday: GPP 2
Sunday:

I know you are going to say it doesn’t matter haha, but out of curiosity is there any specific reason for doing the first one? The second one makes the GPP days more spread out in the week (2 and 3 days either side, as opposed to 1 and 4). Would it not be better to have that extra day to recover before hitting those GPP movements again? Just trying to expand my knowledge of programming.

Hi Arsh,

With a 3 day template we recommend something like lifting on M/W/F or T/TH/Sa. And then completing your GPP during the week, in a way that works well for you. This can be Tu/TH, or just about anything else, even splitting the GPP up and adding it to the end of your training days. :slight_smile:
