Chin Ups in Place of Barbell Rows on the Bridge

Hi All,

I am nearing the end of the LP and am going to start the Bridge soon. Is there any reason to NOT plug them in for the Day 3 Barbell Rows listed on the Bridge? I have no rationale for wanting to do chinups beyond just enjoying them more than barbell rows.

In a previous topic Jordan mentioned that chinups could lead to more overuse injuries, do you still think that to be the case?

Not sure how we’re rating the risk profile here, e.g. what units we’re talking about, but the biggest issues with high volume chins and pull ups tend to be overuse injuries in elbows and wrists due to the constraints of the apparatus being used to perform the exercise. I think context is important for making these decisions, but for general back jackitude I think rows > chins/pull ups.

I think BB rows are better than chin ups where they are placed in the Bridge.

Also, reread what I wrote and contrast that to what you are inferring I said. There’s some nuance there.
