GPP work on The Bridge 1.0

On the 7 minutes of upper back work they recommend pull ups or chin ups, and all sets should not be done to failure. My issues:

Pull ups - I can only do 1-2 reps at a time grinding the hell out of the 2nd rep.
Chin ups - I can do 3-4 reps before getting stuck.

Should I still bother with these or do lat pulldowns instead?

I know they are good strength/mass builders but I always hated them.

I was thinking of starting with the chins and just do as many as I can in the 7 minutes with maybe 30 seconds rest between attempts. I would definitely have to do these on an off day to get the most out of them.

I would just do lat pulldowns with whatever grip style you want, with a weight that let’s you be in the 8-12 rep range. You can get in a lot more volume this way which = more jackitude
