Confused about macro-nutrient recommendation and fat.

I have been trying to dial in my diet for some time now and one of the things I could never quite wrap my head around is the suggestion Dr. Baraki & Dr. Feigenbaum make concerning macronutrients. In multiple lectures on YouTube they recommend 1gm per pound protein, 1gm per pound Carbs, and “the rest in fat”. So for example, if I am 166 pds that would equate to 116gms protein, 166gms Carb, and the rest fat. If I am consuming 2510 Calories a day that would mean I am eating 131grams of fat a day which is like 47%. That seems insanely high. Is there something I am missing?

That’s a general recommendation. Read here for more : To Be A Beast - Barbell Medicine

Thanks man!
