Cut before Hypertrophy I?

Hello -

I’m currently two weeks into the Bridge 3.0 and I like it quite a bit. I’d like to continue with BBM training and I’m thinking of running Hypertrophy I next. If feasible I would like to do it while massing to maximize muscle gains.

I’m 36, 5’9", around 183 lbs. My waist size (to the best of my measuring ability) is 34.5". Body fat I’d guess around 21% and I don’t have a tremendous amount of belly fat. I’m trying to figure out what my diet plan needs to be.

In order to start gaining when I do the hypertrophy template, should I gain, maintain, or cut? I was leaning towards going on a 6-week cut while I finish the Bridge, possibly an additional two weeks before I start Hypertrophy depending on how successful I am.

I would reduce body fat further prior to gaining weight- perhaps when your waist is <33". You could probably do that in the next 6 weeks. :slight_smile:
