Good Morning. I know you get these questions a lot. I haven’t tracked/weighed my food or weighed myself in almost 2 years. I can’t remember what my last recorded weight was when I stopped. I think somewhere in the low 200’s like 205-210. I had a feeling recently I have probably been maintaining around 220 lbs. So I stepped on the scale this morning at 218 lbs and measured my waist at 37" (I’m 6’4" Male).
I am assuming I should probably cut considering my waist measurement but just wanted to confirm that. I am currently running the Strongman Template and adding in the conditioning programming from PB1 Gen2.
I used the Barbell Medicine Calorie Calculator and Macro calculator which says I should try 2,770 cal, 190P, 275C, 100F.
What do you think?
Hey Brian,
My decision would be mostly dependent on what you personally wanted to do, and whether or not there were any health-related concerns here. If you were ambivalent about cutting and there’s nothing medically going on, I don’t suspect that you would benefit from weight loss and would be fine with maintenance. If the variables are different, the nutrition targets seem reasonable. I would probably favor more carbs and lower fat, but that’s just my personal palate preference.

Thanks Jordan. I am pretty ambivalent about cutting. I’m not terribly disappointed in my current appearance though it would be nice to look like a lift a little more lol. No health concerns that I am aware of. For the most part I do stick with a pretty health promoting diet. Thanks for your feedback.
Side Note: I did find my old spreadsheet from when I was tracking my food and weight. My last recorded weight was 200 lbs 35" waist on 5/20/22. So almost 3 years of not tracking and I only gained 18lbs and 2". I think that’s pretty good.
Agreed! That’s super solid
