Depth on pin bench and squat on powerlifting 1 template?

In the final weeks of the powerlifting 1 program you do pin bench and squat. At what depth should you place the pins and what is the purpose behind the pin training?

Pin bench should be done to chest level unless specified mid-range or higher, in which case, the depth would be different.

For squat, it should be just below parallel, unless specified differently.

The purpose is to focus on building concentric strength in a movement pattern specific to the priority lifts.
