I have been dieting for 6 weeks and am starting week 6 of hypertrophy 1 next week. I am not feeling particularly fatigued from dieting (I have been consistently losing 1 lb a week) but I have heard that taking a diet break every 6-10 weeks is a good idea to reduce fatigue and get ready for the next phase of fat loss. Also, since the week is low stress, is it a good idea to keep dieting while the stimulus to the muscles is low? Would it be a better idea to eat at maintenance for that week and return to the diet the next week when the volume is higher to preserve muscle? For interest, I am currently at 13% body fat and my goal is to get to 10%, so I only have around 3-4 more weeks of dieting before I can switch to maintenance for 3-4 weeks before shifting into a slight surplus. Since I don’t have that long left to diet, should I just skip the diet break and push through to the finish line?
thanks a bunch:)
