Not to be weird about this, but I have a curiosity about conditioning. For the first time, I’m following your conditioning recommendations. In the past, I haven’t followed your recommendations because it feels like it’s too much. But, as an aged athlete, I’m starting to think I was wrong, and it’s actually not enough. LOL.
I am assuming that the clock doesn’t start until I’m up to where I need to be. So, in terms of HR, let’s say it takes around 5 mins to get into my HR, based on your guidance in your new low fatigue template. So, I would start the clock at that point, not when I started warming up. Again, not wanting to be weird about it, but yesterday it took me a good 8 mins to get where I needed to be. And, I was thinking, probably ideally, I should be in that heart rate zone the entire 50 mins. (Note: it was RPE 3-4 for 50 mins, which for me equates to Zone 1 (HR 104-119).
It’s only 8 mins but I want to make sure I’m hitting all my cardio as intended for this; im curious of the outcome (feel better, recover faster from strength, etc)
