Does the bridge make sense with low weights?

I am currently doing SSLP. My lifts are pretty sad (less than 135 on bench and squat, less than 150 deadlift) but still progressing. I saw a post earlier about being overweight and starting out, you guys recommended the bridge 1.0. Would this recommendation still hold for someone without a good base strength or would I be better suited to keep LP?

We don’t think LP necessarily makes people stronger than any other strength program. If it’s not working for you, move on. If you need to lose weight, add some conditioning and change your diet :slight_smile:

I started the Bridge when my max squat was probably about 135 and my max bench was probably 105 or less. It worked great for me, so I think it’s well worth a shot.
