Hi ive been lifting for a while, dealt with many kinds of injuries so far.
But i now experience symptoms which im not familiar with. had a leg day this month in which i went all in all to failure as part of my training program. Felt good after it but noticed a funny feeling in my right leg some kind of very minor weakness/instabillity and a bit of swelling, no pain though.
No big deal went on to heavy deadlifts the next day, did a PR still fine.
Mma session few days later and felt a little knee pain. Alright lets take down some volume for a while work more on hips strength and stability. Few weaks later i noticed weakening in hamstring curls for right leg only compared to left and previous weights with the same leg, squats got stronger, deadlifts stronger, But significant weakness in hamstring curls. no pain when doing any of these, still training with lower volume than usual (high intensity just less sets per workout).few hours After yesterday’s leg workout i noticed some swelling again and a weakness in knee flexion.
Made an appointment to the doctor but want to know what may have caused it and what to avoid and what can i safely continue to do while rehabbing this
Unfortunately this is not something we’ll be able to accurately assess for you via forum post. It is generally reassuring that all of your other lifts/movements are still going well, though. Our general approach to rehab would be applicable, and seeing your physician is reasonable if you are concerned.
