Eating past X p.m.?

Hey Docs and BBM Crew,

We’ve all heard the “don’t eat anything/carbs past 6, 7, 8, etc”, but I’m curious to know if it actually matters or if the effects will be minimal. What is your opinion?

My opinion is that calories don’t have a clock and barring any concomitant overeating that may occur more regularly at night in Western cultures, GERD symptoms that increase with eating prior to laying down, or folks who sleep worse with food right before bed- it doesn’t matter.
