Exercise effect on sleep

Hi all,

One question after listening to podcast #93: what effect does regular exercise have on sleep quality? Understand the potential negative and recommendation against exercising a couple hours before going to bed, but re: beneficial effects maybe regular exercise only helps increase daily sleep pressure/drive which may make falling asleep easier at night?

Doesn’t really seem to affect sleep drive that much as far as it’s been measured, but does tend to improve sleep efficiency and reduces time to enter deep sleep. I believe both things were mentioned in the podcast, but if not, I definitely should have.
